CORRINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL – Adopted Minutes
Minutes of the Finance Meeting of Corringham Parish Council on Tuesday 10th September 2024 at 7.30pm. The meeting was held in the School Cabin
7.30pm- Public forum
No members of the public attended
1. CHAIRMAN’S WELCOME
Cllr Semley welcomed all and thanked them for attending.
2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies: J.Tipping
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND DISPENSATION REQUESTS
Cllr M.Parr declared an interest in allotments
4. Review of 2024/25 budget
The spreadsheets were examined and no queries were raised
5. 2025/26 budget proposals
The budget and spreadsheets were prepared in advance and a discussion was held as to where any savings could be made and if every service was essential.
It was RESOLVED to recommend an increase of 16.6 percent, approximately £1 per month per household in simplistic terms and not taking into account Council Tax bandings.
6. Bank mandate updates
The clerk and councillors were added to the banking
7. Church clock maintenance
It was RESOLVED to approve the quote for clock servicing, initially on an annual basis in order to assess the level of service.
8. Payment approvals
It was RESOLVED to approve the payment for grass cutting
