Minutes of the Finance Meeting of Corringham Parish Council on Tuesday 16th September 2025 at 7.30pm. The meeting was held in the School Cabin

AGENDA
1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Cllr Mark Johnson was elected to the Chair, and he duly welcomed everyone to the meeting
.

3. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Cllr Bibb. It was RESOLVED to accept Cllr Bibbs reason for absence.
4. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND DISPENSATION REQUESTS – None in respect of matters to be discussed.
i. MINUTES OF 2024 MEETING –
It was RESOLVED to accept the Minutes of the Meeting held Tuesday 10th September 2024 as a true and accurate record.
5. BUSINESS MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION – To consider and review:
i. The 2025/26 Budget was reviewed against current and anticipated expenditure. 2025/26 budget forecast was £18,525 with current expenditure standing at £12,045. Anticipated spend is £28,062 with £12,000 coming from reserves.
ii. Current reserves stand at £18,000 in General Reserve, and £18,000 in earmarked reserve against a budget of £24,000. To date expenditure from earmarked reserves is £6,251 with a further £12,000 expenditure forecast. It was RESOLVED to carry any unspent earmarked reserve forward to 2026/27 to facilitate further works within the Parish.
iii. The budget required for 2026/27 for the upkeep of the Parish, Community Projects, and Ecology Projects was discussed. It was RESOLVED to accept a budget of £20,485 for 2026/27, with General reserves of £20,700 and Earmarked reserves of £16,000.
iv. It was RESOLVED to recommend the above amounts to the Council with a precept request of £18,000 for the 2026/27 fiscal year. This equates to a less than 3% increase in the precept 2025/26 to 2026/27.
v. Approval of invoices for payment
It was RESOLVED to pay invoice of £540 to Perkins, George, Mawer for Village Hall Site Survey.
