REPORT FROM COUNTY COUNCILLOR
Please accept my apologies for not being at your meeting tonight (even though the cake sounded quite tempting) The clerk and counsellors on Corringham Parish Council are aware that I endeavour to attend every meeting from start to finish if that is possible however tonight has clashed with an Annual Parish Meeting at Grayingham who I only see once a year as they do not have a Parish Council only an Annual Parish Meeting so tonight I have chosen to visit them.
Hopefully, you will have some enthusiastic members of the public in the audience this evening who I hope will take the opportunity as am I to praise your efforts as a group of volunteers who are often overlooked in the efforts that they make to make your parish a better place for everybody. The fact that you give your time freely and keep battling against regulations, expense, weather, and various issues that often seem stacked against you is commendable.
Thank you for welcoming me to your meetings and although I don't feel I have been able to achieve anything significant so far I hope that the support I have been able to bring has been of use and will continue to work to the best of my abilities to help your committee make Corringham Parish run smoothly and to everybody's satisfaction.
